I have a 1993 Mercedes 400 SEL. Rick has kept it going for over 250,000 miles. 4 years ago I was given Ricks name because 2 other repair shops told me I needed a new transmission. My accountant told me that she and her friends all went to Ace (Rick Crabbe) for their car work. I told him my problem and we went for a ride. He said that he thought he knew what the problem was. We put it on a lift, and wrapped around the drive shaft was 2 feet of heavy steel wire. He cut it off and refused payment! I gave him $20 bill anyway. Since then, he has put on 3 sets of tires, 2 sets of brakes and redone my cooling system. Even though I trust him, I always check his prices and he has always been as low priced or lower than the others shops. I very highly recommend Ace Certified Auto repair. I have recommended Rick to many of my neighbors and freinds, and they have thanked me for the tip. I live and work here in Saint Augustine.

I wouldn't reccommend Ace Certified Auto to my worst enemy. Knowing that a college girl like myself probably didn't know anything about auto repair, Rick Crabbe (the owner of the establishment) tried to double charge me for service needed on my vehicle. After consulting my father about the fact that Rick had not called back with an estimate more than 3 days after he verbally stated he would call back, my father took matters into his own hands by researching an appropriate charge for the service and calling Rick himself. After finding out that Ace was seriously overcharging, my father instructed me to pick up my car and take it to a different garage. When I went to the garage, nobody was working in the office. I rang the bell twice before Rick's teenage son showed up in the window telling me that I owe $88 dollars for a diagnosis. Not only did I not ask for a diagnosis, Ace advertises a free diagnosis. In walked Rick. DRUNK. When I confronted him about the charge he got very angry and said that I would not under any circumstances be taking my car unless I paid the charge. Even though NOTHING WAS DONE to my car. I then confronted him about having my car much longer than he said he would. He claimed that it was because they don't work on the weekends. I simply retorted that I had dropped my car off on a monday and had driven by the garagae on several weekend occaisions when it was open. Having nothing left to say, Rick called me a b---h, said that my father was cheap and that that was the issue, and then told me that I need to grow up. don't be fooled by the false reviews you might read online. This guy is a total headache with a current "F" rating through the BBB.

I am happy with the work they did on my car but the owner is a drunk and I will never go back. ---------------------

i had my truck to a few other shops to have it repaired but they couldn't find the problem. Ace certified had the truck for 2 days and repaired the problem for a reasonable cost. Thanks:Ace for All the help
